“Ben Lomond” CC41 Cap

Another beautiful British CC41 era tweed cap, another one off to eBay. This one has blue warp threads, and brown-ish weft threads, giving an overall purplish, heathery colour. Very nice! Same construction as the McGregor cap of my previous post. Click images for larger, higher resolution versions.

Beautiful! I love those heathery tweeds. I’ve found a pretty similar fabric (well, the looks of it anyway) some time ago on the Harris Tweed And Knitwear site.

  2. It is a lovely fabric. A pity the hat is teeny tiny.

Is it that tiny? Didn’t look like it. What size is it, exactly?

  4. It measures just about 54cm – you might even be able to just about jam it onto your head, Mario! It’s one that I can get on but really pinches the forehead. Blue one’s the same size. Dunn & Co. a wee bit smaller …
